Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all!

I just wanted to share a quick holiday story from this past week about two cops who did something really kind, special, and giving for a St. Paul family in the aftermath of a burglary.

The officers were dispatched to take a report after all of the family’s gifts were reportedly stolen by some greedy, heartless fool (or fools), leaving the kids without any presents for the holidays.

Not too surprisingly, the focus of the news article about this incident was on the Grinch angle, but buried in the middle of the story was this:

Police came out and filed a burglary report. Rosas [the victim] said the next day, the two officers returned, with four gifts they bought for the boys.

Obviously, the cops didn’t have to do that. They didn’t have to do anything other than take the report, which makes their care and generosity all the more meaningful.

I couldn’t locate the officers’ names but, whoever you are, thank you for your act of kindness and caring, and for being holiday heroes for this young family!

Have a fun, safe, and happy holiday season.
